We are very fortunate to have the services of our new Support Chaplain, Mr. Phil Leenman every (insert weekday) afternoon. The program is funded by the WA Government and managed through YouthCARE WA under the guidelines of the National School Chaplaincy and Student Welfare Program.
This non-denominational program assists school communities to support the spiritual, social and emotional well being of students, parents, families and staff.
This can include advice and guidance about ethics, values, relationships and the provision of pastoral care and emotional comfort for students during times of grief or personal and emotional challenges. This is irrespective of their faith or beliefs.
The Chaplain assists in the school to create an environment which promotes physical, emotional, social and intellectual development and well being of all students in a climate of wellbeing and mutual respect.
Parents wishing to access the services of the Chaplain can contact the office, your child’s teacher or by contacting Phil directly by email on;
Phil will be working with our year 2 and 4 students using a program called Buz. Take a look at the website to find out a little more about the program and have a chat with you children when they cmoe home to tell you all about it.
If you wish your child not to be seen by the Chaplain please let the office know.
